About Applewood....
Applewood
Farm is a SMALL farm located in Southern Indiana. We use the the word
small with pride because we set out to be small. We have no
employees, it's just the family taking care of the horses together. Each
of our horses has their own stall and each of them are brought in every
evening.

They all
receive personal care and attention each day. Be it a stallion, mare, or
baby we believe that our hands-on care produces personable confident
horses who will shine in the show ring as well as at home with the
family.

All of our
horses were carefully selected, some for their superior producing
bloodlines of National Grand Champion sires or dams, and some because
they are consistent in producing superb conformation and temperament in
their offspring. All of them were selected because they are correct,
sound, and beautiful animals. |
| We believe
this to be the foundation of any breeding program. You must be correct
to produce correct. Any Mare or Stallion should be bred with the goal of
producing a baby better than the parents. The more correct the parents,
the easier this goal is to attain. |
