About Your Designer
|
|
Meet Janet Hughes! She has been
designing for over 15 years. Though she has had formal education in fine and
graphic arts, she received some of her most valuable lessons while working
at a traditional offset printing office in the early 1990's. While there,
she had he opportunity to design using traditional methods of prepress
and design. This was when a "paste up" and a "camera ready" ad were exactly
that! |

|
|
Over the years the methods
used for graphic design have changed dramatically. Janet finds her early
training in traditional pre-press to be valuable in preparing quality
"camera ready". Being a designer that also understands the entire printing
process has its obvious advantages. However, good graphic design has more
than a thorough understanding of the technicalities.
Good design takes first
and foremost, an ARTIST. |
|
Though Janet chooses Graphic Design
and a computer as her primary medium, she is also an artist of watercolor,
oil, acrylic, pencil and pen. Her art is realist in style and she pays close
attention to detail.
Janet formally studied fine arts at Lewis-Clark State College and art
history and photography at BYU North. |

Lastly, Janet also has a lifelong
relationship with horses of varying breeds. This 3rd element of Janet's
experience is what sets her apart in the field of Equine Graphic Designers.
If you are in the business of horses and
will accept nothing less than the best in equine advertising, let Hughes
Designs create some advertising for you and your horses that are
second to none.
